Hello there. Once again, I have fallen flat on updating my blog and months seem to slide on by at an alarming rate.
That said , plenty has been going on so here is a quick glance at stuff that has happened recently….
This coming March 2014 I shall be starting an array of different spray paint workshops and packages. We can cater for individual tuition, small groups, Birthday parties, Stag and Hen parties, team building/corporate events and even work out custom packages.
Gift Vouchers are now available at Art Schism, 87 Gloucester Rd Brighton or by completing the contact form below.
Packages start at £25 per hour per person.
Start the New Year off by learning a new skill.
Another awesome year at Paint and Beer and all in all it rocked.
With Sid on the amazing brew tip, Dries on the artist liaision with a loose ‘Street Art versus Graff’ theme ( It always seems like that anyway, with the artists segregated that way!), the whole day was brilliant fun and I met some sound peeps.
Painting massive walls and then later vans too, I ended up in the club at 4am and, to my delight, stumbled across these amazing Techno Gnomes having it on stage.
Thus enabling me to stay up and drink more fine beer and dance away the rest of the night. Brilliant!
I always love the Paint and Beer because it always inspires me to try out things that I wouldn’t normally do and I see an array of amazing styles.
Literally painting from the minute that I got there to the moment that I left, the event always does exactly what it says on the tin. Simple!
Thanks to all Friekens crew especially the one and only Dries and Sid ( and fam). Mega love and respect to the UK connection. Snub fam always in full effect.
Until next year.
Another great summer, despite the weather, but plenty of painting got done and to top it all off, I took a visit, along with other Grafik Warfarers and new found friends to Amsterdam Noord for the Paint and Beer event at Villa Friekens.
This year is Paint and Beers 6th year and the Paint was spraying, the beer was flowing and the Chronic Sounds were pumping…
Here are a couple of images from the event. Visit my Facebook page for more flicks….
With the current and ongoing news of the proposal to cull up to 70% of Badgers to stop the spread of Bovine TB amongst cattle, I have been painting Badgers again in a bid to get people to sign the petition to stop the cull.
It is barbaric and unscientific.
For more info and a link to the government petition visit Teambadger.org
You can also visit the page of my good friend Badgerface Jones on Facebook. There you’ll find a lot of my images and links to info on the cull and other Badger related goodness.

Today sees the launch of the Brighton Festival street project in conjunction with Grafik Warfare.
You may have seen the wall of AUNG SAN SUU KYI, that we did for last years festival. If not then the post is here
This year we are rolling out a smaller set of images across the city, using the festival branding over the media boxes.
We are also collaborating with a team of Yarn Bombers to add some fabric style Street Art in to the mix.
Keep your eyes peeled around Brighton for the next week or so and you’ll see the work appearing.
I have been working with an arts collective called CompARTment for a couple of years now and their ethos is to use empty or disused spaces for arts and events.
Brighton Fringe is once again upon us and this time compARTment have joined forces with other collectives to continue their mission in finding empty spaces.
The Waste of Space project is a collision of ideas in secret locations through a series of pop-up exhibitions, music, workshops and performances. The aim is for visitors to immerse themselves in a creative trail reviving empty spaces.
The preview of our first pop up opens tonight at 99 Church Rd, Hove. Doors open at 6pm.
Expect to see art from members of all of the collectives and a fresh new gallery space that shall be playing host to many different exhibits, workshops and events over the course of may. Also keep your eyes peeled for our other venues, which shall be updated over May on the Waste of Space site.
I shall be showing some work, and there will also be a GRAFIK WARFARE showcase happening on the 18th, 19th and 20th May. Expect for there to be amazing new artwork from Grafik Warfare members and friends and also some spray painting and street art workshops.
There is also a launch party on Friday the 5th May upstairs at the Albert.
